A journey to the origins of sartorial myth. In September 1999, Maurizio Talarico launched his very first collection of ties, defining the codes of an elegance that would conquer the highest institutional offices. Today, to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Maison's founding, we reopen our historical archives with the 1999 Collection: an exclusive re-edition of the most iconic patterns from that era.
As was traditional for those years, this tie is made of very high-quality heavy silk (with jacquard weaves or antique prints), capable of returning that rich body and drape with a charming heritage feel to the touch. Each piece is adorned with an exclusive celebratory label and is the result of 45 minutes of skillful hand-sewing in Italy. An authentic piece of history to wear and collect.

Style Tips
The use of heavy silk gives this collection a strong character, ideal for those who love classic "Power Dressing":
-
Heritage Charm: Whatever the chosen variant (from regimental to geometric pattern), the body of this tie requires well-structured suits, such as combed wool, pinstripe, or flannel suits.
-
The Sculptural Knot: The significant weight of 90s heavy silk creates a rich and voluminous knot. We recommend a classic simple knot (Four-in-hand), tightened well to create the characteristic central "dimple", avoiding double knots that would be excessively thick.
-
Collector's Detail: The commemorative label makes this tie a piece for true connoisseurs, also perfect as a prestigious gift.
Maintenance Tips
-
How to Untie It: At the end of the day, never pull the narrow end through the knot to untie it. Always untie it by gently reversing the movements made to tie it.
-
Rest: Let it rest softly rolled up or hung for at least 24 hours. This way, the heavy silk fibers will naturally relax.
-
Washing and Ironing: Strictly professional dry cleaning. Never iron the tie flat with a household iron: the heat and pressure would ruin the sartorial edges and the three-dimensional structure of the fabric.
